Excellent conditions and a perfectly paced first 22 miles which were then spoiled by an incredibly painful final 4 miles, putting me outside my target sub-3hr time. It was not made any better by seeing James Cracknell sail past me at 24 miles or the fact I was never even in sight of Nell McAndrew both of whom achieved that holy grail. Still another PB, a good for age qualification for 2013 and a chance to try again.
